www.amityvillefiles.com The Amityville Files is the largest archive of Amityville-related research on the web. Our mission is to present our readers with both the facts and the myths surrounding the Amityville case from all sides of the controversy. The site includes a vast archive of information, allowing the viewer to do their own research into the topic, and decide for themselves where the truth lies in this highly controversial case. Is the story of America’s most famous haunted house real horror, or a common hoax? In 1976 The Lutz family fled from their home in Amityville, Long Island, claiming that they had been driven out by terrifying and unexplained phenomena. Their story went on to become a worldwide bestseller which spawned dozens of books and films. This followed the mysterious slaughtering of an entire family one night a few years previous. The murderer claimed it was the work of the devil. Mediums and psychic investigators have claimed that there is a curse on the property, while others believe the gruesome history has been invented as a money-making scheme. This documentary sets out to discover the truth about one of American folklore’s most notorious mysteries and features George Lutz’s last on-camera interview before he died in 2006.

Wish i had the money to live in that house and give my honest opinion on it. I’m somewhat of a skeptic but at the same time i somewhat believe in the theory due to tiny maybe childish experiences.

No surprised if the media did change the address but I guess the books are unreliable =3=

Notice the “remake” movie mentioned at 1:00? Don’t ever see that movie. It was so bad, it’s not even worth your FREE Netflix rental. File this sequel among the “never see” titles, which also includes Ghostbusters 2, Poltergeist 2 & 3, Blues Brothers 2000, A Series of Unfortunate Events, Kazakm, Goosed!, and Ishtar!

Not only has the address number long been changed, but Amityville residents always ask that tourists stay away! The house has not been haunted in many years, so Amityville residents are simply saying “There’s nothing to see here, so don’t both visitng!”

i believe that stuff happened, i mean, not the crazy stuff from the movies, like the pig named jodie, the flies and the priest and or the walls oozing junk, but the haunting and the murders itself, yeah…i mean how else could you not hear the gunshots?

@ quicksilver101 Even if they did change the address, the media would have published the new one.

I wouldn’t, if I were you. Acts like that leave a scar. It’s not visible to the naked eye, but it’s there.

Also, I don’t believe that Benoit murdered his family either.
